AXIS Research, Inc. Code of Ethics Statement

AXIS Research, Inc. is a registered Pennsylvania non-profit organization formed to conduct archaeological excavation and interdisciplinary scientific research of cultural remains and paleoenvironments, concerned with educating students of the discipline to encourage modern interpretations in light of recent advances in various scientific fields.

Our mission is to conduct fieldwork and research that addresses past human behavior and interaction with the environment through archaeological investigation, landscape reconstruction, and the examination of paleoclimate and climate change, while fostering the education and practical experience of students of related scientific disciplines. We vow to apply appropriate interdisciplinary methods to archaeological data recovery that insure that fundamental behavioral and natural formation processes be measured and documented at informative levels of analytic resolution, and to report these findings to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), professionals, and the general public.
